As long as you retain the working resolution you should have no problem. To lower or increase, right click on any clear area of your desktop, click on properties, settings tab, adjust the Screen resolution to your preference as long as it is within the capacity of your monitor. Adjust soon as your monitor says out of range, click on escape and go back one step. Click on apply and ok and this should hold till you manually change it again.

I am seeing on the net that many people are finding it impossible to find newer drivers. So the alternate could be that you use some of the windows generic drivers to produce the resolution you are looking for and see if one of them works with your Soyo monitor.
